This Privacy Policy explains how PT. Merkha Teknologi Indonesia ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the RekApp mobile application (the "App").

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

PT. Merkha Teknologi Indonesia is responsible for processing personal data under this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect information that you provide or generate when you use the App, including:

Account information, such as your email address, display name, and account credentials. You may also choose to provide a profile photo or other optional profile information.
Financial document and transaction information, such as information contained in statements you upload and the transaction information extracted from them, including dates, merchants, amounts, currencies, categories, statement periods, and limited card-identifying information.
Assistant information, such as messages you send to the in-app assistant and relevant financial context needed to answer your request.
Subscription and service information, such as your plan, purchase status, and use of statement-processing features.
Support communications, if you contact us.

Please do not provide information that you are not authorized to share with us.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to:

create and administer your account;
process statements, extract and categorize transactions, and provide spending features;
provide the in-app assistant when you choose to use it;
manage subscriptions, purchases, and service limits;
maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, and troubleshoot the App;
comply with legal obligations; and
communicate with you about the App, support requests, or material policy changes.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing, including performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App, your consent, or legal obligations.

4. Statement processing and AI features

When you upload a statement, we process its contents to extract transaction information and provide the App’s features. This may involve temporary processing by our cloud, authentication, subscription, and AI service providers.

We retain the account and transaction information needed to provide the App. We do not intentionally retain your original statement file after processing, except where temporary retention is necessary for security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.

When you use the in-app assistant, we process the message you send and relevant financial information from your account to respond to your request. The assistant provides general information only and is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Uploaded documents and assistant requests may contain financial or identity information. By using these features, you instruct us to process that information as described in this policy.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

We may share personal data with service providers that help us operate the App, including providers of:

cloud hosting, authentication, databases, and storage;
AI-powered document processing and assistant features;
subscription and payment administration; and
customer support, security, professional, or legal services.

These providers may process personal data only as needed to provide services to us and subject to appropriate contractual and security obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, safety, or the security of the App, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets.

6. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and will provide further information on request.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may delete individual statements and related transaction information through the App where that option is available. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, contact support@myrekapp.com. We may retain limited information where required or permitted by law, including for tax, fraud-prevention, security, or record-keeping purposes.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to, or portability of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.

To exercise your rights, contact support@myrekapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The App is not intended for anyone under 18 years old, or the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law, such as through the App or by email. The updated policy will take effect on the date shown above.
